RISK ONE'S REFLECTS ABOUT DJ AM

As everyone knows now i'm sure, the nightlife and entertainment industry lost

one of its brightest stars.. DJ AM. It really hit the DJ community hard, as he's had
such a gigantic impact on all of us and what we do. The first time I ever saw AM
live was at Showbox in Seattle a few years ago. I really didn't know much about
him, but wanted to see what all the hype was about. I had no idea
what I was in for...

I can honestly say this was the first time my jaw was on the floor the entire night
for any DJ performance. I couldn't even wrap my head around the things he was
doing. This guy was playing the biggest hits of every genre under sun, making
live "mashup" remixes and scratching his ass off.. and somehow he made it all seamlessly fit together, make sense, It literally was like being on a musical
adventure.

Personally speaking, he sparked a whole new way of thinking in DJing,
and remixing. Soon after he gained national attention, every club in the country was seeking "mashup" DJs, and websites such as the infamous Crooklyn Clan
exploded where DJs can purchase and download the type of mashup remixes
that AM made popular... Essentially, every DJ in the country was playing an "AM set" at some point or another (many still do).

Last I'd like to say, to all those who think AM is only famous b/c of
Nicole Richie, I urge you to check read his bio, check his resume, and
watch a few dozen YouTube videos
... and stand corrected.

Rest In Peace Adam.
