DIGITAL DAVE’S TRIBUTE TO DJ AM

Last year shortly after Adam's passing 30 Pittsburgh Club DJ's got together and all played on the same night at the same venue to pay tribute to Adam and raise money to donate to his memorial fund.  This year 28 DJ's got together and played on the same night in his memory for our second annual tribute to DJ AM.  This year we recorded the entire evening sans the first two DJ's due to technical difficulties and I wanted to share it with you.  This event is very special to us and meaningful to us as Adam was an such inspiration to us all.  Most of the DJ's prepare their sets extensively as if they were entering a battle but the do it for a much more significant reason, paying tribute to their hero.

I broke the 4+ hour recording down into four sets of approximately 70 minutes each.  Each DJ's set during the evening was approximately 10 minutes.  No edits were made except a few volume and mastering adjustments as there were several sets played on vinyl including a set played on 45's.

Set 1 Pat Flaherty, Addison, X, MJ, CK, Underdog, Ley

Bonics & Nugget were both a part of last years event, unfortunately they were both out of town with this years event occurred and McFly got sick the day of the event, Adam meant a lot to them and their hearts were with us that night.

Adam was an amazing DJ and an amazing person, we all miss him greatly, his premature death was a tragedy in every sense of the word.  We plan to continue doing this annually to keep his memory alive and to donate to help others fighting the same tragic additiction issues that he fought.

R.I.P. Adam Goldstein "DJ AM"

Best Regards,
Digital Dave
