MAD MIX MIKE IS SHAKIN' THE BUZZ WITH HIS INSANE ZEAL FOR HOUSE!
Saturday, April 25, 2009 Mad Mix Mike
We are SO excited to FINALLY be showcasing our next feature DJ!!!! We were captivated with Mike from the moment that we read his Bio and from the response that his Buzz teaser received, MAD MIX MIKE is nothing short of notorious!! Why is he notorious you ask? Well, not too many DJ's can claim to have literally set their mixers on fire and ALL because he was "raving" the crowd SO HEAVY AND SO HAWT, that he melted the wires on the mixer!!!! Now THIS is action and a DJ worthy of shedding the limelight on!!! Originally hailing from the cradle of House Music...Chicago, this artist was weaned upon many of the historically great House DJ's. In Mike's Buzz Exclusive DJ Survey he notes: "Definitely growing up in Chicago my major influences were the “Hot Mix 5”, Bad Boy Bill and Mickey “Mixin'” Oliver. Also, my uncle who taught me almost everything I know. I can’t forget about the fans either who have supported me throughout the years and have showed up to all my events." (Mad Mix Mike, Buzz DJ Survey 09') DJ Mad Mix Mike possesses a deep passion and flare for his calling after close to 10 years in the industry and was drawn to the decks as a young man of 15. Mike's fans and girlfriend even testified to his deep passion: "As Mad Mix Mike's girlfriend, I have the pleasure of often witnessing how passionate he is about music. He is so dedicated and puts on an amazing show! If you haven't checked him out yet, you're missing out! So what are you waiting for?! =)" (Alie cited, Buzz Comment, 04-22-09)

Mad Mix Mike's Lovely Lady Alie...A GREAT SUPPORTER OF HIS WORK!
It is critical to us at the Buzz to focus on DJ's at all levels of expertise, skill, years of experience, genre preference and global exposure. For many, the strong pull to music becomes so overwhelming that it becomes a vehicle with which these individuals use to express their inner emotions and to connect socially with others. The intensity of Mike's style you will note, is of key interest and focus to us. One of his close friends bestowed him with the name Mad Mix Mike because his intensity towards his work could almost be deemed borderline obsessive and insane! He has an acute ability to beat match and as a result can quickly overlay tracks and edit on the fly! He pairs all genres of music including utilizing vocal tracks from other sources of media besides music, (i.e. Comedy, TV, Movies). His pace is rapid and as a result he was quickly absorbed into the Rave environment for both his intensity and unconventional mixes. We always like to highlight the unique characteristics of our respective feature DJ's and this attribute of impulsive explosivity in MMM's scratching and beat dropping style, is worth noting.
Electro is THE BUZZ word on many levels in the club scene today. Hip Hop is and has been morphing with House for a few years now, as we flagged months ago and Mike has been using this sound from the very beginnings of his career. He is definitely an artist who is ahead of the current mainstream disc jockey and his years of building a deep foundation in House music is now proving to be very fruitful. Mike engages with music so deeply that he refers to the feeling as a natural high when hitting the peaks during his gigs. In fact it was these musical "joy rides" motivated Mike to pursue his fascination and love of House music. "My first gig was a H.S. Graduation party where I rocked a track called, "Better off Alone" by Alice DeeJay. From that moment on I knew that I would always have a love for House music. It was a natural high for me." (cited from Mad Mix Mike's Bio) He has been gracing the decks at some of the most exclusive and upscale clubs in the desert gem of Scottsdale, Arizona such as: Myst, Axis-Radius, Pussycat Lounge, Cafe Carumba, as well as many downtown Raves ... This artist is trail-blazing his name across the western nightlife sky!

Matt Chick noted: "I would def have to agree with everything they said about DJ Mad Mix Mike. I have watched his videos of him spinning and would have to agree that he is just amazing DJ. Love from Chicago Mike" (Buzz Comments, 04-13-09) Mad Mix Mike is most certainly an artist that we feel is one to flag as a must experience, if in the elite nightlife circuit of Scottsdale, Arizona. His career is blossoming with an allure that is attracting many loyal followers. On that note, be sure to read his Biography, check out the footage of Mike spinning and keep his name on your list of artists to follow! We applaud his creativity exhibited in a clever tracks he recently developed which integrated a segment of Dane Cook's stand up comedy act, "Just Wanna Dance" from "Harmful If Swallowed". He beautifully overlays Dane's vocal routine with Lady Gaga's "Just Dance"!! He then segues into more of Dane's comedy gig wrapped with "Somebody's Watching Me"...it's down right ingenious!!You can sample more of Mike's work by hitting him up on MySpace and downloading his wild and crazy Rockstar Status set....you'll be tearing the walls down when you are through sampling it!! It's in YOUR FACE and only for the House savvy in the crowd!!!
