Drink your water. Water washes toxins from our bodies.. when you don't hydrate, you're
more prone to acne, dry skin, headaches & malaise. This goes for you guys too!
Change your sheets. I recently read that you can drastically improve your skin's appearance
& reduce acne, simply by changing your pillowcase every three to four days. Wow! Who knew?

Limit caffeine, taurine, & chocolate. What?!Yea, I know.. that's pretty hard to do. Especially
the chocolate, right girls? There's no reason to cut these completely out of your diet, but they
do cause us to produce cortisol, which speeds up the production of wrinkles, & can exacerbate
some skin conditions, such as Rosacea. Caffeine can also inhibit the absorbtion of certain vitamins.

Moisturize. This one gets old, doesn't it? It's truethough.. the proper moisturizer helps maintain
our skin's balance of natural oils. This, in combination with getting enough H2O, is what
gives your skin that nice soft glow. The very best time to apply your moisturizer, is immediately
after you've washed your face. The pores are open, & the skin is damp. This provides easy absorption.
My all time fave is, Aubrey Organics Sea Buckthorn & Cucumber with Ester-C. All natural. A bit
pricey, but honestly here...what's your face meanto you?? In my opinion, it's good for all skin types,
though it's designed for oily-combination types. Aubrey Organics also has a few good
intensified moisturizers & boosters for extremely dry skin, as well as complete regimens for each
skin type. Oh! And, don't forget your sunscreen.

Use a good cleanser. By good I mean, good for you. Ingredients such as Sodium Lauryl (or Laureth)
Sulfate, strip everything away. This also goes for shampoos. Look first for Sulfate Free cleansers &
shampoos. Most will announce it on the front of the bottle, but look at the ingredients anyway. Tip:
the more your facial cleanser or shampoo lathers, the more likely there's a sulfate derivative in it.
Also important to lookout for in a facial cleanser...parabens, fragrances & colors. Especially for those of
us with sensitive, easily irritated skin. My all time fave is, Avalon Organics Vitamin C Sun
Aging Defense Refreshing Cleansing Gel. Paraben, fragrance, & sulfate free. Made with vitamins &
botanicals, and believe it or not, it lathers! Leaves my face feeling clean but not stripped. I can't say that
about most other cleansers I've tried.

Take a multivitamin. This might be the easiest to accomplish every day. A good way to remind yourself,
is to take it at the same time every day, & some folks have had success with a pill minder (can be found
at most drug stores). Look for antioxidants.. we don't get much of these from our food anymore,
unfortunately.I take one every night before bed. Our body does most of it's healing while we sleep. I live
by Nature Made's Antioxidant Formula with minerals. IMPORTANT: Please consult with your doctor first,
before beginning a new vitamin regimin, especially if you're currently
being treated.
Exercise. Everybody's favorite, ...am I right? Hahaha.. It's important for our circulation, heart health, &
our SKIN. Yup, that's right! It's our biggest organ, remember? Fetty Be and I switch off between cardio
workouts & pilates or yoga. We hit some of the pilates classes together because it's always more fun to
workout with a friend.. Exercise gives your body much needed energy, & helps eliminate toxins.
IMPORTANT: Please consult with your doctor first, before beginning any new exercise regimin. You can
seriously hurt yourself.

Sleep. I love sleep. I also know I don't get enough of it. Our skin really needs it people. When you're
sleep deprived, your face will usually reveal it in the form of bags under the eyes, acne & a sallow
appearance. Our body uses that time for new cell production. Long term sleep deprivation releases more
stress hormones, like cortisol (there's that word again) which can affect the way we look. Good 'ol
fashioned sleep should be very high on our "to do" list.
To your healthy skin!
