KEEPING THE BEAT…DOUBLE AND HAWT!!
This blog is a bit overdue but I am finally sharing my experience of my first hair/makeup/fashion show at a nightclub, better known as "Makeup The Night" at Aqua Lounge in Modesto, CA. The show was put on by "Don't BE GELous" Makeup, the team is made up of two extremely talented makeup artists, Gel and Bernice. Along with Marde Polmer doing hair, Nely Hernandez, Adrian Perez and production by Roxie. Music was provided by DJ Secret, Ghetto House Radio's very own Nick G, Dirty D and bay area's Don Lynch. Things were chaotic backstage (or in VIP room) models, hairspray, makeup, flashbulbs going off, models changing and lots of laughter...and I LOVED every single bit of it!!! That is what I live for, yearn for, that organized chaos!!!!
My hair was crazy too!!! There were no mirrors in the room so I had to be trusting and hope that she was not going to shave my head (I still would have rocked it though). I ended up rocking a sky-high mohawk! First time having a mohawk and it definitely put me in that rock star state-of-mind.
All the girls looked amazing and after months of planning, hours of prepping it was finally time for the show to start. You could hear the music bumpin, the crowd waiting impatiently and the excited nervousness inside from all that were involved. Then boom! My turn to strut it!!!! Wow what a fucken high. Seeing familiar faces, knowing you looking fly, flashbulbs going off, people clappin and screaming-I wanted to do it again!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a night what a night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and due to the gorgeous Nicole Kaleinani Blades connections, we were able to connect with the beautiful Veronica King who is the Editor-In-Chief of Glam Couture Magazine and were able to pose for her. Stay tuned, photos may be published in her September issue.

I just had to post this little gem that I stumbled on in In-Style magazine!!! Girls you know that our nails are an extension of our accessories and a must to be groomed when going out clubbing! Well, the LATEST rage of colors is none-other than the “Shrek” movie-inspired color theme from O.P.I.!!!! With Fiona being portrayed as an ALL POWERFUL, go-getting woman….it’s a great message for all girls and women! Get out there and do YOUR THING, in YOUR OWN WAY!! The color schemes are very very cool and blue-green based. I would have liked to have seen orange and yellow as opposed to lavender, but either way, it’s a cool marketing angle from O.P.I.

FETTY BE COMMENT: Fetty Dei I definitely think the Kardashian’s definitely are more inline with traditional bebe designs here. The more tapered pencil skirt, body-hugging, femme fatale designs are DEF ON POINT.I think the fact that these sisters have all lost weight, they are now cool with wearing super curvalicious, sexy outfits! I am STILL struggling with stretchy cotton ANYTHING for bebe. It just seems so confusing for the designs….Leather and stretchy fabric??? Sure, I guess it’s more versatile in fitting a wider range of sizes!! The cut out portions are sexy….Yellow is THE color of Spring 2010. In looking at these designs, I actually see more of Angelina Jolie than the Kardashians!!! Just my opinion!! Thanks for flagging these FettyDei!! I was almost afraid to look at the new line. Overall it’s 90% improvement from their first attempt!!!
