The most glamorous nights of nights is almost upon us. Glitz, glamour, anticipation and excitement of what the night and new year will bring us. Sequins, mini skirts and the highest of heels that you swore you will rock all night. Champagne is poured, toasts are made and you have the hottest date on your arm. 'Tis the night for celebration and style, the night every one feels like a rock star. IT IS NEW YEARS EVE!!!!

Style does not take a break just because a new year is upon us, in fact it is pushed to the highest notch and every fashion rule is broken as you search for days, even weeks for the perfect little number which will take you the top of everybody's "Best Dressed List" Whether it be sequined mini, a glamorous floor-length gown or something in the middle, there is nothing holding you back on this magical night.

You don't think of New Years Eve without thinking of sequins and glitter, they just scream "Put me on and have the best night of your life, you deserve it." Ahh and do you ever! You can always tame it down with just a leopard top and the hot wide-leg, 70's inspired jeans that are taking over this spring and a sexy flat. Just make sure to add a belt so you don't look overwhelmed. (I see coral & teal in the back of the above pic…SO HAWT this Spring, Fetty Be ) Or maybe a cropped top with a leopard print chiffon maxi dress, a la the photo below:

Everything about this outfit screams Spring 2011! The cropped top, the maxi leopard skirt and the sandals that will be on every fashionista's perfectly pedicured feet this season.

SO many sexy, multi-functional options this season. I love how the designers are really continuing to work the use of multiple textiles and layers of dimension and sensation in their fashion. Feathers, faux fur and leather are MASSIVE THIS YEAR. Even greater than last year. There was definitely an essence of all of these in the big fashion houses of Europe last season, but the use of these textiles and adornments have been adopted deep within the design culture and it’s filtered down now to the very mainstream level of fashion on the streets and in the clubs!!! I’m really feeling this season’s styles and trends.

I ADORE boots and so to see this style of footwear becoming so popular, it’s definitely a notch up in my opinion for all women in the sexy department!! Boots have attitude and it takes confidence to wear them. To see mainstream fashion houses promoting over-the-knee boots as both a day and night style for women to embrace, really gives me the feeling that the culture is projecting and endorsing sexiness, power and feminine prowess in today’s “everyday” woman. It’s a time of functionality and practicality due to this challenging global economy. So, having footwear that multi-tasks yet maintains youth and style makes sense and stretches the dollar too.

Even the styles are outfits that a woman could wear to work during the day (depending on the type of job of course) and then wear it out to the clubs at night, as the designs are upscale and hawt!! I approached one of my resident Fashionista’s Fetty Dei about collaborating on this Fall Fashion post and we decided to pick our top fashion trends to see if we had noted similar ones. FETTY DEI’S TARGET 2010 FASHION TRENDS

The leaves are changing colors, weather is getting crisper and cooler and there is a new feeling in the atmosphere, you can feel it in your bones. Summer is over and Fall is finally arriving. As you tuck away your bikinis and sandals, make sure to make room for some of these Fall Must-Haves!

1. Wool/Knit Sweaters/Ponchos

Big wool, knit sweaters over skinny jeans or leggings/jeggings (get to those later) and knee-high or if you dare, thigh-high boots leave you feeling cozy but oh so sexy. Of course, you can rock some cute flats with this look if you are not feeling so brave and/or heels are not your thing.

2. Leggings/Jeggings

Just when you thought jeans could not get much better after the development of skinny jeans and leggings, it did! Some genius somewhere decided to put them together and create jeggings. Leggings that look like jeans but fit and feel like your favorite pair of leggings. These go with anything, they are jeans after all, just not your mother's jeans. Unless your mom is Fetty Be of course ;) (TXS DEI!!! ;)

3. Leopard Print anything (Especially with Leather)

Yes, leopard print is back!!! But good only in moderation. A sexy dress, a leopard-print heel, a sexy mini. It can be used as a neutral or an accent and this brings me to pairing it with leather. Leather is such a bad-ass addition to any Fetty lady's wardrobe and when pairing it with leopard-print just ups the ante. Just prepare yourself before you go out because you will stop traffic.

4. Denim on Denim

I have been very iffy about this particular look but after seeing it more and more on fashion blogs and on the runways, it has caught my mind and changed my mind. Denim on denim is always one of those looks that can whether work or not work depending on how it is paired. Light denim on top with dark denim on bottom with a fun floral top and sexy shoes will bring out that daring fashionista that you are.

5. Plaid/Flannel

Yes! Plaid is not going anywhere and thanks to sexy feminine cuts and shapes, it is sexier than ever. Whether it is when you are lounging around watching Monday Night Football or out for a night with the crew, plaid is the go-to look, esp if you "accidentally" leave a few of the top buttons undone hehe ;

Final thoughts:

Fashion is fashion! Trends are trends! But style, style is yours, all yours! What you do with that is your choice, your decision. Yes, follow the trends but don't become a slave to them. Add something that describes you and who you are along with that leopard-print skirt or a vintage belt to that oversized knit sweater to show off that sexy frame. As long as you are representing yourself and what you in believe in with total confidence, you will rock it and you will definitely not end up on the Fashion Don't list!!!

KEEPING THE BEAT…DOUBLE AND HAWT!!

This blog is a bit overdue but I am finally sharing my experience of my first hair/makeup/fashion show at a nightclub, better known as "Makeup The Night" at Aqua Lounge in Modesto, CA. The show was put on by "Don't BE GELous" Makeup, the team is made up of two extremely talented makeup artists, Gel and Bernice. Along with Marde Polmer doing hair, Nely Hernandez, Adrian Perez and production by Roxie. Music was provided by DJ Secret, Ghetto House Radio's very own Nick G, Dirty D and bay area's Don Lynch. Things were chaotic backstage (or in VIP room) models, hairspray, makeup, flashbulbs going off, models changing and lots of laughter...and I LOVED every single bit of it!!! That is what I live for, yearn for, that organized chaos!!!!

My hair was crazy too!!! There were no mirrors in the room so I had to be trusting and hope that she was not going to shave my head (I still would have rocked it though). I ended up rocking a sky-high mohawk! First time having a mohawk and it definitely put me in that rock star state-of-mind.

All the girls looked amazing and after months of planning, hours of prepping it was finally time for the show to start. You could hear the music bumpin, the crowd waiting impatiently and the excited nervousness inside from all that were involved. Then boom! My turn to strut it!!!! Wow what a fucken high. Seeing familiar faces, knowing you looking fly, flashbulbs going off, people clappin and screaming-I wanted to do it again!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a night what a night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and due to the gorgeous Nicole Kaleinani Blades connections, we were able to connect with the beautiful Veronica King who is the Editor-In-Chief of Glam Couture Magazine and were able to pose for her. Stay tuned, photos may be published in her September issue.
