THE ART WORLD MOURNS THE LOSS OF GRAFFITI ARTIST SIGI VON KOEDING A.K.A. DARE!
Friday, March 12, 2010
DJ Ace recently brought this news to our attention and we wanted to share it with you all. Graffiti art has long been an integral part of the street culture and this art form was also influential in the birth of the Hip-Hop movement. Many DJs actually possess experience in Graffiti art expression. Graffiti is now a mainstream form of artwork and extends its reach deep into all aspects of culture. In memoriam to the late Sigi Von Koeding a.k.a. DARE (The Wild Side), September 16th 1968 - March 6th 2010
,we take a moment to pay our respects. “A beloved friend and one of the world`s most influential Graffiti artist outside NYC died last week...We lost our friend to cancer last Friday in Basel, Switzerland (Fetty Be lived there…). Our sympathies goes to his family, friends and crewmembers (Toast, Dream, Pose2, Kesy and many others)...” DJ ACE OF www.djace.com
